BROCK: The Beaverton Fall Fair returned this past weekend, drawing crowds of families, friends, and visitors, to celebrate the long-standing community tradition. From September 12th to 14th, the fairgrounds were alive with music, food, laughter, and the unmistakable spirit of rural Ontario.
The midway was busy throughout the weekend, with colourful rides and games lighting up the fairgrounds, while food vendors kept everyone fueled with classic fair favourites. The agricultural roots of the fair were also on full display, with livestock competitions, homecraft exhibits, and 4-H showcases giving visitors a chance to appreciate the talents and dedication of local farmers and youth.
Highlights included: families flocking to the petting zoo, horse pulls, and children’s activities, and finally, the popular demolition derby which once again packed the grandstand, with fans eager to see the action. The Saturday parade through downtown Beaverton brought together community groups, businesses, and marching bands in a lively display of local pride.
Live entertainment filled the fairgrounds with music each night, as local performers and headliners took the stage. Organizers noted, attendance was strong throughout the weekend, thanks to both the good weather and the wide range of attractions appealing to all ages.
“The Beaverton Fall Fair has always been about bringing our community together,” said Mayor Mike Jubb. “It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and families enjoying everything we had to offer this year.”
As one of Brock Township’s most anticipated annual events, the fair, once again, showcased the best of small-town tradition mixed with modern entertainment, leaving visitors already looking forward to next year.
