Celebrating Champions for over a century at the Royal Winter Fair

ONTARIO: Come celebrate the best in agriculture, local food, and equestrian competitions from across the country.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair takes place every November in the City of Toronto. Whether you’re a visitor or an exhibitor, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is jam-packed with home-grown fun and the best in local food and animal entertainment.

The Royal is the largest combined indoor agriculture fair and international equestrian competition in the world. It is where Canadian and international breeders, growers and exhibitors are declared champions and where hundreds of thousands of attendees come to learn, compete, shop and have a great time with friends and family.

The 2023 Royal Ambassador is Kay. A year and a half old Polled Dorset yearling ewe. Kay is no stranger to the Royal. She made her first appearance last year representing a century of sheep at the 100th Anniversary Royal Gala. She went on to win Reserve Champion in the 2022 Royal Sheep Show. Alongside her Ambassador duties, Kay will be returning to compete in this year’s Fair. Kay is owned by Ridgetown Ontario’s Brien family – descendants of J.D Brien, one of the founding members of the Fair. Kay is part of our history just like the previous beloved Royal Ambassadors, which includes Winston the Percheron Cross, Turbo the Goat, Lil’ Ben the Miniature Horse, and rooster-duo, The Royal Duke and his son The Royal Roy.
