A number of engaging programs are coming up at local branches of the Kawartha Lakes and Brock Township Public Library systems.

Bobcaygeon Book Club Readers are invited to join the Bobcaygeon branch for its monthly book club on Tuesday, February 24th, from 1 to 2 p.m. at 123 East Street South, in Bobcaygeon. Registration is required; please contact the Bobcaygeon branch to sign up.

The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month and explores a different novel during each session. Participants can look forward to lively discussions, memorable characters and stories which transport readers to new worlds. Whether you are a lifelong book lover or just beginning your reading journey, all are welcome.

Reading Buddies – Beaverton Branch The Beaverton branch is offering its Reading Buddies program for students in Grades 1 to 4 on February 19th. Young readers will have the opportunity to practice their skills one-on-one with a friendly teen volunteer in a supportive setting designed to build confidence and strengthen literacy abilities.

The program takes place at the Beaverton branch, located at 401 Simcoe Street. Participation is by appointment only. Please call the branch to register.

Sunshine Stitchers – Lindsay Branch Crafters are invited to gather for Sunshine Stitchers at 1 p.m. at the Lindsay branch of the Kawartha Lakes Public Library, 190 Kent Street West. The group meets in the downstairs meeting room.

Participants are encouraged to bring their knitting, sewing, crochet, quilting, embroidery or other fibre craft projects and enjoy a welcoming, social environment while they work.
