"Our Autumn 2023 Native Plant Sale brings an abundance of choices, to enrich your outdoor spaces with native beauty and ecological significance," said Ola Pasternak, of Landowner and Community Support at Kawartha Conservation. "These garden kits are thoughtfully crafted to thrive in autumn planting conditions, creating an immersive experience with nature in the comfort of your own yard."

Native plants are a beautiful and low-maintenance addition to your property. They provide diverse and colourful pollinator habitats and grow very well in our northern climate.

The perennial plants, selected for this year's sale, have robust root systems which reduce erosion and stormwater runoff and protect water quality. Bloom times vary throughout the seasons. Species this year include: sky blue aster, dense blazing star, wild ginger, prairie smoke, and many more.

Native plants offer unrivalled benefits, requiring minimal maintenance, enhancing local biodiversity, and promoting soil health.

To secure your desired plants, place your order using our convenient online form, before Thursday, September 7th. The plant pickup will occur at Ken Reid Conservation Area, on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon.

With limited quantities and high demand expected, seize this incredible opportunity to make your green spaces come alive with the spirit of Autumn. Join us to celebrate nature' splendour and support local ecosystems, with our Autumn 2023 Native Plant Sale.
