Active COVID-19 cases continue to be reported in local areas

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: While virus transmission has lessened since the peak of the Omicron wave, new COVID-19 cases continue to be reported.
As of press time, according to the Durham Region Health department, Brock Township has 24 active cases. To date, Brock has had four deaths and 526 resolved cases.
Scugog has 16 active cases. Since the start of the pandemic, Scugog has had 18 deaths and 916 resolved cases.
Uxbridge has 11 active cases. To date, Uxbridge has had 27 deaths and 1,043 resolved cases.
Meanwhile, according to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Kawartha Lakes has 96 unresolved/active cases, 3,235 resolved cases and 74 deaths.
