Uxperience issues call for local groups in need of support

UXBRIDGE: The curtain doesn’t go up on Uxperience, the annual family-friendly variety show, until May, but organizers are already busy preparing for the show.

Recently, organizers put out a call for local non-profit organizations or charities in need of funding, to apply to be considered as a candidate to receive the proceeds from next year’s event, which is planned for May 2024.

Next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the show, and several familiar faces are slated to return for the event. Matt Gunn is back as show director, with Eric Speers serving as Co-director and Christina Enns as the music director. The Uxperience creative team has also added Alannah Kemp, as skit director, as well as Alyssa Jeffrey, as producer.

Over the past 29 years, Uxperience has supported local non-profits and charities and has donated more than $150,000 back into the community. Last year, the Uxbridge Youth Group graciously received a cheque for $5,000.

To be considered for funding, the first step is to complete an application. If your group is interested, please email uxperience92@gmail.com, to request an application, ahead of the Monday, December 18th deadline.
