UXBRIDGE: The Business Improvement Association (BIA) in Uxbridge is hosting a raffle. Residents and those interested in participating in this event are asked to visit the Uxbridge BIA’s Facebook page and ‘Like’ their post promoting the event. Participants are also expected to comment on the post, stating their favourite place to shop for barbecue equipment. Participants can also visit the BIA’S Instagram page and complete the same task. Participants do not have to post on both platforms. You can go to either the BIA’s Facebook post or Instagram and then follow the instructions listed above, participants do not have to post on both platforms. The contest which started on August 21st and is open to participants until September 5th, is a free raffle, with no purchase necessary, to enter or win this event. The winner of the contest will be awarded a prize package organized by multiple vendors in the Uxbridge area. A list of sponsors has been included on the Uxbridge BIA’s website. The prize package is valued at $1,300. The winner will be contacted via Facebook messenger, or Instagram direct message once the contest has concluded. If there is no reply from the user within 72 hours, the BIA will choose a new winner. The prize will be given to the winner within 14 days of contact, with the exception of the personalized apron, which, according to the BIA, may require more processing time.
