SCUGOG: The Township of Scugog thanked their staff for their work during the snowstorm over the 2022 Christmas holidays during a meeting on Monday, January 23rd.
“I’d like to take this time to thank our Public Works staff who continue to show their dedication to the Township by working extra time, early in the morning and [on] weekends and holidays, especially this past Christmas. They were working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to make sure we could get around and travel safely,” Carol Coleman, Scugog’s Director of Public Works and Infrastructure Services, stated at the meeting.
Mayor Wilma Wotten agreed, stating the Township staff’s work was “much appreciated.”
Director Coleman also noted another snowstorm is expected to impact local areas this week.
“Once again, we are expecting a significant snowfall this Wednesday, as a Colorado low is expected to bring 10 to 15 centimetres of snow,” she said.
She reminded residents to check the weather report before driving and to leave extra time to get to their destination.
