SCUGOG: Please be advised that the summer exhibit for the Scugog Sports Hall Of Fame on the lower level of the Scugog Community Recreational Facility is now open for viewing. The arena is located at 1655 Reach Street in Port Perry.
Save the date for our next annual Induction Ceremony on Thursday, April 20th, 2023. Go to: scugog.ca/sportshallofame for nomination forms for builders, athletes and teams, or forms can be picked up at the arena office.
Sports organizations in Scugog are invited to submit a one-page outline of a volunteer who has or is making a significant impact on their organization for our Volunteer Recognition Program. Email to: liashbridge@gmail.com
Sports organizations celebrating milestone anniversaries (25, 50, 75, and 100 yrs) should contact the Township Recreation Dept. by emailing recreation@scugog.ca or calling Daren Jaglall at 905-985-8698.
We are also interested to hear about any young Scugog athletes (18 and under) who are excelling in their chosen sport for our Youth Excellence and Achievement program.
Plans are underway for an online auction in the fall to help raise funds to support our Induction event and upcoming exhibits. Information will be posted on the Sports Hall of Fame web pages at scugog.ca. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months. We want to keep the momentum going after a very successful induction ceremony this past spring.
