BROCK: One driver was killed, and another was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Beaverton on Tuesday, May 4th.
The crash occurred on Highway 12, near the 15th concession. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a video, posted a little after 9 a.m., on May 4th, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sergeant Kerry Schmidt said a southbound vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle. There were only “single occupants in both vehicles.” The driver of the southbound vehicle was killed, and the driver of the northbound vehicle was taken to hospital.
Sargent Schmidt told The Standard, in an email, the driver received “relatively minor injuries.” He also added, in that email, the OPP doesn’t expect to lay any charges for the crash.
On Twitter, Ontario Provincial Police identified the deceased victim as a 31-year-old from Beaverton, but police have not released the victim’s name.
