Where does positivity come from?
I came across an interesting thought I learned from Betty White: "Look for the positive. There may be plenty of things going wrong but there must be one thing that is going right." It takes a unique perspective to see the good in every situation.
Where does positivity come from?
Here's the thing: everyone has something in their life they are trying to manage. Believe it or not, negativity has physical implications which can make you worse.
There are three types of negativity.
Cynicism: a general distrust of people and their motives.
Hostility: an unfriendliness towards others; a determined unwillingness to develop relationships.
Blaming: feeling one is victim of life's uncontrollable events, and others are responsible for ones own personal maladies, .
Some of the common psychological and/or physical effects of negativity include: headache, chest pain, fatigue, upset stomach, sleep problems or insomnia, anxiety and/or depression, social withdrawal and drastic changes in metabolism (i.e. overeating or under-eating).
Here are a few key ways to overcome negativity. Live in the moment. Focus on the task at hand, and avoid thinking of past mistakes or future fears. Take stock of any contributing or aggravating realities, such as: health conditions, heat aggravation, immediate obligations requiring your cooperation, like your part in paying the bills, keeping your good reputation at your job, faithfulness in relationships, or fulfilling your commitment in circumstances If a negative thought enters your head, respond with at least three positive affirmations immediately.
Participate in activities which cultivate happy thoughts, such as hobbies, spending time with loved ones, attending social groups and church, and exercising. Turn your negativity into action.
Making Choices which benefit your physical and mental wellness helps support a positive outlook. Exercise is known to boost 'Happy hormones' in your body and is a constructive way to manage stress.
Nurturing positivity means making conscious choices which support your physical and mental well being.

This is a good reminder to focus on the positive! It's so easy to get bogged down by negativity. Gotta remember to find the good and maybe play some Block Blast to clear my head! Thanks for sharing!
This message really resonates - positivity isn’t about ignoring challenges, it’s about choosing where to focus your energy. That simple shift can bring emotional strength in even the toughest moments. As we reflect on Betty White’s wisdom, it’s a great reminder that spiritual support often fuels our ability to stay grounded, hopeful, and resilient when life feels heavy. A powerful outlook worth carrying forward.
