DURHAM: Mini Batra is the Durham riding’s Green Party of Ontario candidate.
“Mini Batra joined the Green Party of Ontario to be a strong voice for the residents of Durham. Mini feels strongly about affordable housing and the burgeoning climate crisis. She also believes that Ontario’s health system needs reform, starting with an increased emphasis on comprehensive care and access to mental health services,” read a bio on the Green Party’s website.
Ms. Batra was born and grew up in India.
“Born into a working-class family, Mini grew up in India before moving to Europe to complete a degree in computer science. Later moving to Canada, Mini began a career as a Project Manager with IBM, specializing in IT infrastructure projects. She now works in real estate, and enjoys gardening, travelling and painting in her spare time,” the bio states.
