EPSOM & UTICA by Faye Ashton

I hope everyone kept warm last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as the temperature dipped to -28/29 here. But how quickly it rebounded to +3 today. Hard to adjust.

Even February second, Groundhog Day, couldn't really decide whether to have six more weeks of winter or not.

To all of our neighbours in each community who are celebrating this month for any reason, may your special day form lasting memories.

A very special man Ted Croxall is celebrating his 100th birthday on Sunday, February 19th, at the Seniors Centre, in Uxbridge, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Ted and his wife Corrine have lived all their married life in our community and Ted all his life. When he wasn't farming, he was a great entertainer as a barber-shopper with many good jokes and storytelling included to keep his audience in stitches. Ted, may this be one of the most special days for you to enjoy.

Sincere sympathy to Doug and Judy MacSween on the recent passing of Doug's Uncle.

Rev. Edith Ann enjoyed her trip to Hawaii. She will lead worship this Sunday, February 12th, at Epsom United Church at 10:30 a.m. I'm sure she would "Love" to welcome you and enjoy fellowship following the service. Sunday, February 19th, is a potluck and AGM Sunday. There will be no church on February 26th, as Rev. Edith Ann will have this Sunday off before preparations for Easter.

Come see the documentary film, Superspreader, about worship leader Sean Feucht and the #LetUsWorship movement now coming to Canada. Hear about how people of faith reached out to those in need during a very difficult time.

This event will be on Saturday, February 11th, starting at 7 p.m., at Family Worship Centre, 15 Medd Road. Childcare will be provided. Please RSVP by email to info@thefwc.ca to ensure your seat.

Happy Valentine's Day to All. May we show each other love and respect as we go through the weeks ahead.

Please send your news to Faye.eaglesnest@gmail.com.
