BROCK: Durham Regional police services (DRPS) are investigating a shooting which occurred in Beaverton, on Monday, June 29th. According to police, at 7:50 p.m., North Division officers attended a residence near Thorah Concession Road 4 and Highway 12 after a man had been shot. “Officers located a male with serious injuries from a gunshot wound. It is believed there was a verbal altercation between the two males prior to the shooting. The 42-year-old male from Brock Township was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre, via air ambulance, with serious, but non-life threatening injuries,” stated DRPS. Durham’s police are currently looking for a suspect in the case, and are hoping the public can help. “Police searched the area for the suspects, with negative results. Investigators do not believe this was a random attack. There are no suspect descriptors at this time. Investigators are looking for the public’s help with any information regarding this shooting. If you have surveillance video in this area, please contact our investigators,” expressed DRPS.
