DURHAM: The following statement is being issued on behalf of John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer: “It is my pleasure to offer congratulations to Regional Councillor Ted Smith on behalf of the Region of Durham, for his appointment to the 2022 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair’s Board of Governors. Durham Regional Council unanimously appointed Councillor Smith as the Region’s representative for the 2022 season.
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, also known as The Royal, has grown to be the largest indoor agricultural and equestrian event in the world. The Royal’s horse show is one of the world’s most esteemed equestrian events, attracting athletes from across the planet. Every year, 300,000 people attend to celebrate some of the best food, livestock and horsemanship this country has to offer.
