KAWARTHAS: Declan Carlile, Graeme McCrory, Andrew Rinaldi, and Mitchell Martan each had three point games Sunday afternoon, as the Wellington Dukes defeated the Lindsay Muskies by a score of 9-0 in Wellington.
This one was one sided from start to finish, as the Dukes fired 62 shots at Blake Curran in the Lindsay goal.
The Dukes opened the scoring at 7:26, of the first, when Rinaldi scored from Carlile and Martan. The lead was doubled at 9:44, when Teddy McGeen scored from McCrory and Eric Uba.
The game would remain 2-0 until just past the halfway point, when the flood gates opened. Rinaldi scored his 2nd of the game at 10:41, from Ben Evans and Mitchell Mendonca. Uba made it 4-0 at 15:22, from Geoff Lawson and McCrory, then Carlile scored a power play goal at 18:09, from Mason Snell and Martan, to round out the period.
The Dukes would light the lamp four more times in the third. First it was Zach Uens, from Carlile and Colin Doyle at 8:24, then just over two minutes later at 10:26, it was Snell scoring, from Mackenzie Warren, and McGeen. At 12:11, the Dukes power play struck again, when Mendonca scored from Rinaldi and Warren, then the last goal came at 19:13, as Martan scored from Jackson Arcan and McCrory.
Jonah Capriotti picked up the shutout in the Dukes goal.
The next game for the Muskies is Friday night, when they host the North York Rangers.
