Most of the snow has melted away and March came in like a lamb, at least in this area. I sure hope that it doesn't go out like a lion.
On Thursday, several ladies attended the Black Tie “Cathy Allan” 20th Anniversary fashion show in Lindsay.
On Friday, in the sanctuary, people from Greenbank, Wick, Sunderland, and Seagrave Churches attended the World Day of Prayer service, which was interesting and informative about the country Suriname, which is located in northeastern South America.
Richard Charron read the M&S report. Donna Kent extinguished the third Lenten candle. Stephanie’s children’s story was about thousands of star fish that were washed up on the shore. A small child began throwing the starfish back into the water and a man came along and said “Why are you doing that, you will never get all those star fish back into the water?” The boy said, “even if I save one, it is better than not doing anything”. There are forms at the back of the sanctuary, to list your favourite hymns, which will be helpful for Stephanie for future services.
If anyone saw the smoke across from the Church on Sunday morning, it was a small grass fire.

It is a fundraiser which includes two hours of painting with an instructor, socializing, materials, and refreshments.
