FAYE ASHTON Special to The Standard

March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers. That used to be true but not so much anymore. The snowdrops, blooming for a month now and even survived the recent dump of snow, the crocus, celia and some daffodils have been adorning the garden for a while now too.

I hope everyone survived April fools day.

Thinking about the predicted weather for this week reminds us of the huge snowfall April 4th, 50 years ago, when cars were buried on highway 12 and of course our concession roads too. Memories.

Best wishes to all in our community celebrating an anniversary or birthday this month. Hope it’s an awesome one.

Thank for coming to the Canadian foodgrains breakfast last Friday. It was a very enjoyable time together and much appreciated financially by the Foodgrains committee.

A warm welcome to church this Sunday in Epsom, the service starts at 10:30 p.m. with fellowship to follow.

I would love to share your news. Please send your news to me, at Faye.eaglesnest@gmail.com.
