Having just enjoyed two exceptional local area fairs, a big thanks goes out to the volunteers and participants who have laboured during the year and at the fairs to bring together all the events. Hats off to all the ones involved from our own community, as well.

The 4H Dairy calf clubs of Uxbridge, Port Perry, Sunderland and Beaverton exhibited their calves on Friday evening at the Beaverton Fair. The top five from each of the fairs are allowed entry and each did a superb job. What a great group of young adults.
Congratulations to James and Thelma Houghland as they became grandparents to their first grandson, Tyler Jacob.
The community flocked to Green Tractors, formally Utica Farm Equipment, on Saturday, to enjoy their 50th Anniversary as a company. Arnold and Gail Kerry along with Gail's father Charlie Cottyn, began this dealership and have watched it serve the surrounding community well. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to share this special day with you and we wish you all the best in the future.
Saturday was also the wedding of Nicolus Eckhardt and Janai Cairns, at the bride's home in Zephyr. The reception was held at the Mount Albert Legion. We extend sincere congratulations to Nick and Janai for lifelong happiness.
A fantastic celebration took place at the Sommerville barn on Saturday as friends from far and wide arrived to celebrate Len and Betty's 50th wedding anniversary. Such a special time to visit with friends and extend warm wishes for the years ahead to Betty and Len.
