Two Kawartha Lakes Police Officers self-isolated due to Covid-19

KAWARTHA LAKES: Two Kawartha Lakes police officers are currently in self-isolation after coming into contact with a man who may have Covid-19. The two constables were potentially exposed to the virus after arresting a man for domestic assaul The man was held in custody and scheduled to attend a bail hearing on March 29th. He was charged with breaking and entering, mischief to property and two counts failing to comply with a recognizance of bail. The officers were taken off duty after the arrest. As of March 30th, they will remain in self-isolation while they are tested for the disease.
