Shop local art in a festive outdoor environment with the 5th annual MIKL

KAWARTHA LAKES: The Kawartha Lakes Arts Council is delighted to announce the return of the 5th annual Made in Kawartha Lakes (MIKL) show and sale. Visitors are invited to attend, on May 27th and 28th, the Kawartha Settlers’ Village (Bobcaygeon, Ontario) which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MIKL is hosted by the Kawartha Lakes Arts Council (KLAC), partnering with the Kawartha Art Gallery.

“The setting at the village is perfect for a juried show and sale, as it offers indoor and outdoor spaces which can accommodate a wide variety of artistic mediums, while creating a pleasant backdrop for visitors of the show to explore at their leisure,” said Lesley Drummond, KLAC Board member and MIKL Artist Coordinator. “With food vendors and music, it’s an enjoyable setting for local artists and artisans to connect with existing and new consumers of their work.”

Our talented artistic vendors will be selling a wide range of their products, all created locally with a Kawartha Lakes flair. These include: paintings, photographs, furniture, pottery, and much more, all at a wide range of prices.

We’ll also have the following on-site for attendee enjoyment:

Muster Point Charcuterie Boxes

Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream

Snack Shack 2 Go

Butter Tarts from Kawartha Butter Tart Factory

Lindsay Brewing Company

Back 40 Smoked Meat Sandwiches

As our musical guest, North Country Express will be featured Saturday & Sunday

“Kids Making Music in Kawarthas” workshop for kids, ages four to nine, Saturday, May 27th

“The Stage is Yours” workshop, for youth ages 10 to 17, Sunday, May 28th.

Kawartha Settlers’ Village is located at 85 Dunn St, which is just off Highway 36. Visitor parking is directly opposite the main gate, and there will be overflow parking just beyond that if public parking is full. Admission to the event is by donation. While some vendors can accept debit and credit cards, cash is preferred.
