See the Stars at the Uxbridge Historical Centre

Wednesday, August 21st the Uxbridge Historical Centre (UHC) will host ‘Star-Gazing at UHC’ from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the UHC, at 7239 Concession 6, Uxbridge.

We’ve heard many times that the Uxbridge Historical Centre’s location is perfect for star-gazing – so we asked Warren Gallagher of the Durham Region Astronomical Association to help us see the stars!

Warren is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and is an enthusiastic amateur astronomer of 60+ years. He will provide an out-of-this-world discussion on solar systems, how to use star-gazing devices, and will answer your astronomy-related questions.

A chance to try star-gazing for you on the Museum grounds will follow the talk. You are welcome to bring your own devices, including binoculars, telescopes, and cameras, to capture part of the sky. If you plan to bring your own equipment for Warren to show you how to use it, please arrive no later than 6:30 pm and RSVP by email: museum@uxbridge.ca or by phone: 905-852-5854.

Admission is by donation. All ages are welcome to this event–bring the whole family for a chance to see Jupiter with its many Moons or Saturn with its beautiful rings!
