Please, for everyone’s sake, follow all directives from both government and health departments to stay home, self-isolate and self-quarantine. You can save lives. Take this time to enjoy the awakening of nature, catching up on your honey-do lists, relax, and enjoy this down time. Happy Birthday wishes to Mackenzie Wray on March 26th, and Terry Taylor on April 2nd. Sincere condolences to Ross and Jean Short on the passing of Ross’ brother, Jim Short who passed away on March 24th, in Lindsay, at the age of 97. Interment will be at a later date. Condolences also to Wyn and Wendy Hughes, on the passing this week of Wyn’s brother, Kingsley Hughes, in Wales. Condolences also to Bert and Glenda Hutcheon on the passing of Bert’s brother, Manny Hutcheon, in Ottawa on March 29th, at the age of 87. Sincere sympathy to all families Sunday services and events at Seagrave and Greenbank Churches have been suspended indefinitely. We will resume when our Health Officials permit gatherings. There are volunteers to pick up groceries or prescriptions. This is the fifth week of Lent. Conversations and Consolation…a situation without hope. Or is it? God summons us beyond the here and now. The redeeming love of God reaches into the depths. Let us journey through the shadows towards the light. In Jesus’ name. Amen. The Lions Club is selling lawn and garden fertilizer in 55 lb. bags for $30. To place your order contact Don at 905-985-3595, prior to April 26th. The Park Board is hosting an Earth Day and Pancake Breakfast on May 2nd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are looking for environmentally based vendors at a cost of $20. All proceeds go to park and hall improvements. They will also be collecting used clothing and small household items.
