SEAGRAVE by Barb Martyn

The network of a “community” eventually intertwines with each of our lives. It may come from a helping hand, a greeting, a phone call, a letter, a card, or activities of an outreach of a Church. It was a heart warming experience to see 15 people of the community gathered at the Remembrance Day display, on the Seagrave Church lawn, on November 11th, at 11 a.m. They came of their own accord and stood silently together, to pay their respects to the Veterans that gave us our freedom. One lady turned up her speaker on her phone as the Last Post was being played. There was a couple standing at the end of their laneway. Poppies were pinned on the cross and a bouquet of red tulips was placed at its base. The people in the little village of Seagrave, “Will Not Forget”.
