Scugog seeking more volunteer firefighters

SCUGOG: The Township of Scugog is looking for more volunteer firefighters. On Tuesday August 25th, the Township announced they are looking for recruits for the fire stations in Port Perry and Caesarea. “To join our team, a person must have the instinct to help others during difficult times, possess the ability to react and adapt quickly under stressful situations and have personal values that complement our department values [as a priority]: Accountability, Compassion, Duty, Integrity, Proficiency, Relationships and Valor,” read a Scugog Township press release. To be eligible to be a Scugog volunteer firefighter a person must live or work in the township, have a G level or higher driver’s licence, a good driving record, a a Grade 12 Diploma, and be able to communicate in English.
