Santa Claus to parade down local community streets

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: Santa Claus will be riding through the local communities, in advance of Christmas, starting this weekend.


The Uxbridge Santa Claus parade will be held this Saturday, November 19th, starting at 11 a.m. Parade floats will run down Brock Street, between Centre Road and Nelkydd Lane.

The next day, Sunday, November 20th, the Lindsay Santa Claus parade will be held.

"The Lindsay Santa Claus Parade planning committee is happy to announce, the parade will be returning to a classic parade style, on Sunday, November 20th, beginning at 2 p.m. Starting at the Recreation Complex on Adelaide Street South and travelling North on Adelaide to Kent Street, the parade will go East down Kent to Lindsay Street, right through the heart of downtown Lindsay," read a post on the Lindsay Santa Claus parade website.

This year, the Lindsay parade's theme is 'Santa's Workshop.'

The Scugog Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Port Perry Santa Claus parade, on Saturday, December 3rd, starting at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at the corner of Reach Street and Simcoe Street, heading down Reach Street and turning South onto Simcoe Street and will then head South to Queen Street, where it will turn East and travel to Water Street, going south before finishing on Mary Street. This year's Port Perry parade theme is 'Rockin' Christmas.'

The Sunderland Santa Claus parade will be held on Saturday, December 10th. The parade will start at 7 p.m., at the Sunderland Arena.
