God is a source of inspiration and hope for people of faith

Hardships and struggles happen to every person in this fallen world, both Christians and non-Christians alike. As Christians, God gives us the Holy Spirit as a comforter, counselor and teacher. With God’s help, we can do more than just cope, we can live the abundant life and share that with others. One of the biggest barriers to faith is life itself. We experience death, divorce, disease, and cancer. There are times in which God seems so very far away. Who is the source of your happiness, your joy, your peace in this Christmas Season and throughout the year? Whether you’re going through times of hardships and struggles, God is always there to listen. During tough times, it’s especially important to stay connected to God through prayer and reading His Word, The Bible. When we make God our source for all things, peace, happiness, health, finances, life becomes so much more manageable. I believe that God’s word is alive, true and faithful.

When God is the source of your Peace: He is also your source of relief. Even when it feels like you’re going through utter darkness, remember God does not cause these troubles, but He allows them for a purpose that you/we may never understand this side of Heaven. Take to heart Matthew 7:7-9. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

I put my life in God’s hands then foolishly take it back from time to time! We’re all tempted, at times, to believe that when life is hard, it’s somehow an indication that God has abandoned us. Psalm 37 reassures us that God is fighting for us, but more importantly it shows exactly how to trust God in those difficult and troubling times. We do not have to figure out these difficult times, we can simply trust in God and focus on living in obedience to Him. If you are struggling over the Christmas Season with feelings of despair and helplessness, take that step of faith and trust in God. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
