The Standard will be posting the provincial government’s list of essential services as announced on Tuesday, March 24th on our website, thestandardnewspaper.ca. All non-essential businesses are asked to close their doors to the public during the state of emergency. However all businesses that can conduct work via telephone, online or by mail/delivery are permitted to do so. The Standard News is considered an essential service. We will continue to cover news relevant to our community. As the crisis continues The Standard may find it necessary to publish online only. You can sign up anytime to register for our online eNewsletter. It contains all you see in your weekly print edition with some extras. The Standard eNewsletter is delivered to your email weekly and currently is a free service. To register for the eNewsletter email your request to office-standard@powergate.ca.
