COVID-19 case numbers see a bit of a dip this week

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: After COVID-19 cases started to trend upwards last week, it appears case numbers are starting to drop in North Durham and Kawartha Lakes.

According to the Durham Region Health Department, there are no active cases in Scugog or Brock Township as of press time. Since the start of the pandemic, Scugog has had 17 deaths and 340 resolved cases. Brock has had three deaths and 178 resolved cases. Uxbridge has one active case, listed in home isolation. To date, Uxbridge has had 26 deaths and 446 resolved cases.

Meanwhile, the Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting Kawartha Lakes has 15 unresolved/active cases, 1,135 resolved cases and 58 deaths.
