CAESAREA by Eleanor Colwell

Caesarea Nestleton Euchre: Here are Thursday, November 28th’s euchre winners: Bryan Allemang, Pat Currie and Heidi Kreig tied for first place. Shirley Oldfield came in second. Doug Day was third. Marg Cayer came in fourth. Pat Allemang finished in fifth place. Bryan Allemang had the most lone hands. Eva Kushner had the low score. Nestleton Euchre is held every Thursday, except holidays, in the Nestleton Community Centre, 3971 Highway 7A, play starts at 7:30 p.m. Caesarea Christian Church: There will be a morning of Christmas music with a great group called Reflections on Sunday, December 8th beginning at 10:30 a.m. On Christmas Eve, we will celebrate at our Church from 7 to 8 p.m. If you are new to the area, you are most welcome to join us. We are situated at 3625 Regional Road 57, right in downtown Caesarea. Pastor Mary can be reached at 905-986-5683 for further details. Come as you are; no fees; no need to give. Enjoy the moments we’ll share as we reflect on the miracle of Jesus’ birth and celebrate the hope that He brings.

Blackstock Cartwright Lions Club: Smaller Clubs like ours are inclined to partner with other smaller clubs to assist in their Lions events. On December 7th members will be in Port Perry helping with the Santa Claus Parade from 4 to 7 p.m. and the next day, December 8th, we’ll be assisting the Claremont Lions with their Christmas Dinner preparations. Our Lions motto, “We Serve”, sometimes involves food. Sometimes, it’s assisting CCPS, our local Nursery School, our local skating club, and individuals in our community. If volunteering is something you are considering, give our Membership Chairperson a call at 905-986-1169 for further details.
