BROCK: The Township of Brock has named Ralph Walton as their acting Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), following the departure of Robert Lamb. In an email to The Standard, Township clerk Becky Jamieson confirmed, Mr. Lamb “is no longer with the Township of Brock, as he is pursuing other opportunities.” Mr. Walton is the Regional Clerk and Director of Legislative Services for the Region of Durham, and has also previously worked for Niagara Region and the Province of Ontario. “We are very excited to have Ralph join and lead our team. His professionalism, knowledge and experience will be an asset to Brock,” Mayor Debbie Bath-Hadden said, in a statement. Mr. Walton started work for the Township on Monday, June 22nd. “It’s very exciting. I got up here yesterday afternoon and saw some of our staff in action, and I’m very much looking forward to working with that team of people,” Mr. Walton said, during a virtual council meeting on June 22nd. Ms. Jamieson wrote in her email that Mr. Walton’s term as acting CAO is expected to be for “at least 3 months.”
