BROCK: After missing the last couple of meetings of Brock township council, Mayor Debbie Bath-Hadden has provided more information on her current health situation. On Tuesday, October 6th, Mayor Bath-Hadden released a statement, explaining her recent absence from municipal work. “I have been trying to address a couple of health issues recently that have required me to go briefly to the hospital and to rest to try to get better. This situation has resulted in me missing some meetings, and not responding to emails and phone calls as I would want to,” she wrote. The mayor added she will take the “next week or two to rest” and focus on her current health situation. “I am being wonderfully supported by my husband, family, neighbourhood and life-long friends, and I appreciate receiving calls and emails from people in the community and Brock staff. The Township of Brock is very important to me, and my commitment to it is as strong as ever,” she concluded. Regional Councillor and Deputy Mayor Ted Smith has been chairing Brock council meetings in the mayor’s absence.
