BROCK: Community and Non-Profit Organizations are invited to apply for funding from Brock Township's Charity Golf Tournament fund for senior- and/or youth-oriented projects. The annual golf tournament, hosted by Brock Township, is held at Cedarhurst Golf Club in Beaverton, to raise funds for local charitable organizations.
Brock Township requires local non-profit or charitable organizations applying for a specific project to provide detailed estimated costs, other fundraising efforts, expected completion dates, and benefits for seniors, children, and the community.
Organizations applying must be both local and serving the residents of Brock Township. The township is seeking an innovative project that promotes the health, wellness, and physical activity of our youth and/or seniors. General operating costs are excluded. Projects will be funded up to 50 percent, with a maximum of $2,500. Other fundraising efforts will be required for the remainder of the project. Proof of expenditure must be provided upon completion of the project. The project should be completed within a year and a half of the funds being awarded; extensions will be considered with a reasonable explanation.
Since the proceeds from the golf tournament may vary each year, not all projects can be funded. At its discretion, the Township will approve the applications.
The deadline for submissions is on February 27th at 2 p.m. Applications received after this should be resubmitted for funding consideration from the following year’s tournament proceeds.
