On Saturday, May 28th, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Blackstock-Nestleton United Church is hosting a perennial plant sale in the Church Parking Lot. This is a great opportunity to add a splash of colour to your gardens. Plant donations are appreciated. If you have plants to donate, please contact Jan Byers at 905-986-5112.
On Saturday, June 4th, with a 10 a.m shotgun start, Cartwright Sports & Recreation Inc. will host its annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Sunnybrae Golf Course in Prince Albert.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. The cost is $125 per player. Fees include 18 holes, golf & cart, on-course contests, morning muffin/beverage, BBQ ‘to-go’ lunch during the round and appetizers during “Happy Hour” gathering after the tournament.
The organization seeks hole sponsors ($100) and foursomes for this fun community event.
All proceeds will go towards future development and upgrades to Cartwright Fields sports park, trails and facilities in Nestleton. Registration is filling up fast, so please act quickly.

Blackstock Truck and Tractor Pull is roaring back onto the fairgrounds on Friday, July 8th at 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, July 9th at 7 p.m. If you would like to volunteer for a gate shift or a shift at the Full Pull Beer Tent, please email Janet at jrvc78@hotmail.com.
The Blackstock Fair is returning after a two year hiatus due to Covid and will be held on Saturday, August 27th, followed by the always exciting Demolition Derby. Please save the dates and plan on supporting these local events.
