BLACKSTOCK by Tammy Phillips

If you are looking for some colourful, easy-to-care-for perennials to add to your gardens this spring; the Blackstock Nestleton United Church (BNUC) is offering a perennial plant fundraiser on Saturday, May 22nd, from 10 a.m. through to 2 p.m.

To follow Covid-19 protocols and allow for safe social distancing, BNUC will be offering plants for sale, rain or shine, at three separate locations, including: 3170 Bradburn Road; 14480 Old Scugog Road; and 12501 Regional Road 57. Prices range from $5 to $15. Cash only, please. If you have any perennials you would like to donate to the sale; please contact Janet Van Camp by phone at 905-986-0097, before the sale date.

For those looking for fresh herbs, fruit and vegetable plants, there are a few weeks left to support The Blackstock Co-op Nursery School’s (BCNS) Spring, fundraiser.

The BCNS Plantables School Fundraising Program is about as pandemic safe a fundraiser can get with delivery of herbs, fruit and vegetable plants directly to your mailbox or front door.

Visit the Plantables website directly at https://plantables.ca. Select your choice of garden-ready herbs, fruit and vegetables. Be sure to enter the code: BCNS2021 at checkout. Then choose your delivery week, and your plants will be delivered to your front door! BCNS receives 10 percent from every order.

News and items for consideration can be emailed to link2tammy@gmail.com by noon on the Monday prior to publication date.
