Art on the Fringe Festival returns to Uxbridge

JANE BUTLER & DEBBIE PARK Special to The Standard

UXBRIDGE: Once again, the long-running Uxbridge Art on the Fringe Festival is happening this year. Please join us at the Uxbridge Historical Centre on September 16th and 17th to experience the creativity of over 30 emerging and established local artists. Their work includes paintings, sculptures, ceramics, fibre arts, jewelry and more—a varied and engaging banquet of remarkable artistic productivity.

Many of the artists will be outside and some inside the Church and Schoolhouse. All the exhibits and parking are fully accessible.

As well as browsing and shopping with the artists, visitors can: enjoy breakfast, lunch and snacks from the “Gangster Cheese” food truck, live music from a variety of local musicians and the wonderful view high on a hill overlooking Uxbridge.

Visiting Art on the Fringe also includes access to the Uxbridge Historical Centre and its many interesting exhibits. Parking is available in the Historical Centre lot on Concession 6 south of the main building.

The Uxbridge Art on the Fringe Festival is presented by Artists of Uxbridge, a local collective that creates, teaches, promotes and supports art in our community. New members at all levels are always welcome.

For more details about Artists of Uxbridge and/or the Fringe Art Festival, please visit artistsofuxbridge.com.

Art on the Fringe: September 16th and 17th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Uxbridge Historical Centre, just north of the Brock Street West roundabout on Concession 6.
