SCUGOG: Three people are facing multiple charges, each, after a loaded firearm was found, during a traffic stop in Port Perry, on Wednesday, March 29th.
According to Durham Regional Police (DRPS), “at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of North Division stopped a vehicle, in the area of Highway 7A and Scugog Street in Port Perry, for a Highway Traffic violation.”
A police press release added, those who were inside the vehicle were removed during the investigation and “a loaded firearm and cannabis were located.”
22-year-old Tyreese Williams, of Toronto, is facing a charge of possessing a loaded or restricted firearm, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, and possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling.
21-year-old Mandy Faudar and 23-year-old Xavia Kondell, of Toronto, are being charged with possessing a loaded or restricted firearm and occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm.
“All three were held for a bail hearing. Anyone who may have information in regards to this incident can contact the Gun and Gang Unit, at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5800,” the DRPS press release concluded.
