Manning the refreshment table, volunteers Blair Prechtiko and Dennis Lee, both center, provide much needed assistance in replenishing the water, blood sugar, and salt levels of donors. This same volunteer group has been providing the refreshments at the Port Perry Arena's Blood Banks for the past 25 years.

Next Donation date is Saturday at the arena in Uxbridge if you are in the Kawarthas check out the Armory in Lindsay on the 1st Wednesday of every month.




"A legacy in the blood."

Some people make a habit of giving of themselves to help others. Pictured here, donor Michelle Stevenson Left is in the process of her 39th blood donation with the assistance of DCA Hema Patel. Patel, who's first name means "blood," has been helping with blood donations for 4 years and does not show any signs of stopping.

In the background center, 1st time donor Rachel McArthur has some much needed refreshments. Volunteers like Blair Prechtiko and Dennis Lee (BG left) work to help donors replenish their blood sugar, salt, and water levels after blood donation. Speaking of long time givers Blair and Dennis' volunteer group has been providing the refreshments for donors in Port Perry out of their own pocket for the past 25 years.

Next Donation date is this Saturday at the arena in Uxbridge and the 1st Wednesday of every Month at the Armory in Lindsay.
