SCUGOG: The Standard is aware of a new scam circulating regarding invoices.

If you receive an invoice which asks for payment to be made via Visa Gift card, it is not from The Standard.

The Standard will also never ask for credit card or gift card information to be sent in an email.

To contact the Canada Anti-Fraud centre, either call them at 1-888-495-8501 or go online to:

www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca.

Also, to verify any invoice you receive is genuine, The Standard can be reached at 905-985-6985.
