Red Plaid Productions bring the Mudmen back to the Town Hall Theatre Port Perry in January

Mudmen are no strangers to the area, with several SOLD-OUT shows at the Town Hall Theatre in Port Perry, Ontario. Mudmen's yearly concert stop has become somewhat of a yearly tradition, with concert tickets being a popular Christmas stocking stuffer, says Rob Campbell, one we would like to continue on for years to come. We have had good support in the area, guesting and opening for Johnny Reid, the Irish Rovers, John McDermott, Dean Brody and April Wine, to name a few.

"We have almost seen it all in our 26 years together, the good, the bad and the other, with Port Perry being one of our favourite stops," Campbell Says

"It has been said that we Mudmen are the last of the stubborn survivors," said bagpipe player for Mudmen Robby Campbell. We were left for dead, but we proved the industry wrong. We are still around, and our record label is gone. Go figure. "The small towns kept us alive. When we were dropped from our Record Label with no radio or TV support, the small towns supported us and kept us going, and we will never forget that" Were still working on that memoir book 20 plus years in the Mud which might just turn into 30 plus years in the Mud the way it's going. It's a big project, one we want to do right. We have one chance to release our story that needs to be told and told properly. We are off to a great start. Ron MacLean has written our opening chapter. I do believe this will be a good read.

Mudmen have performed for the Queen of England with 70,000 people in attendance, performed a televised NHL event, 12 Canada's Walk of Fame ceremonies, 7 Grey cups, 3 Memorial Cups, Tourism Canada shows in Europe, America we have played shows everywhere in big arenas, nice concert theatres and yes in small rowdy bars and beer tents says Robby Campbell.

The Mudmen have had a lot of commercial success over the years with music featured on Hockey Night in Canada, 6 Don Cherry Rock 'em Sock 'em videos, HBO's Shameless, NBC's The Black Donnelly's, WWE Wrestling, AE Sports games and Much Music/MTV reaching number 19 on the Edge Radio top 20 countdown.

The group has played over 3,000 shows to date in 8 different countries, building a legion of fans from young to old.

"They're Canada's best-kept secret," said Johnny Reid.

"They're good Canadian boys," Don Cherry said.

Walter Ostanek said he is proud of them and "you won't want to miss this all-ages concert."

The Mudmen will be playing music from their 11 albums as well as some new music set for their 12th album to be released in the near future. Make sure to break out a plaid shirt to show your Mudmen support. We want to see a sea of plaid, the Canadian tuxedo as usual when we roll into Port Perry, says Robby Campbell.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $28.00 for youth/seniors, and available at the OTH Box office www.townhalltheatre.ca 905 985-8181
