SCUGOG: Port Perry's Right at Home Realty is holding an Art Auction in support of Oak Ridges Hospice.
The public got their first chance to view the pieces, on Sunday, March 12th, at the Realty's office located at 237 Queen Street. Public viewing will be held at the business until March 31st. There will also be a public open house which will have the artists in attendance, on Saturday, March 25th, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Salesperson, Jacquelyn Rooney explained why Right at Home Realty decided to support the local hospice.
"The hospice is in such need of money at this time," she said. "There's a big push to raise money for the hospice, to get money into Port Perry."
In a Facebook post, on Friday, March 10th, the business stated they have had "close to 100 pieces from local artists dropped off so far."
"They've given us tons of beautiful pieces," added Ms. Rooney.
The live auction will begin on Sunday, March 19th, with bids being taken until Saturday, April 1st. The bidding will be done through the business's Facebook page 'Right at Home Realty Port Perry.' For more information, email:
