Letter to the editor: Support our local food banks

Dear Editor

With Christmas time fast approaching, Operation Scugog is in the midst of organizing its annual Christmas Campaign. Donation boxes for food and gifts can be found at BMO, Canadian Tire, Emmerson Insurance, Food Basics, Foodland, Gus Brown, McDonald’s, Royal Bank, Scotiabank, Shoppers Drug Mart, Vos’ Independent, and Walmart, in Port Perry. Please consider teen and adult items such as pajamas, reusable water bottles, make-up, cologne, and toiletry sets, including shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are always appreciated. Food items in need are apple juice, jam, instant coffee, pancake syrup, stuffing, turkey gravy, and Christmas treats.
