Kawartha Lakes police arrest impaired driver

KAWARTHA LAKES: A 32 year-old from Coboconk is facing impaired driving and possession charges, after being found passed out at a local gas station. According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday, January 31st, at 11:20 p.m. at a Lindsay Street South gas station. “It was reported that a male was passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle, in the parking lot. Officers attended the location, and while speaking with the driver observed signs of impairment and drug use,” read a Kawartha Lakes police press release. Liam Chynoweth, of Coboconk, is being charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. The case will be heard in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay, on April 1st.
