KAWARTHA LAKES: Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 23rd, as the 2nd Annual Kawartha Fall Festival returns, to offer a fantastic day of fun and excitement for the whole family. Hosted at the picturesque Ken Reid Conservation Area, the festival will showcase an impressive lineup of events, catering to all interests and ages. From the Birds of Prey Demonstration, where awe-inspiring raptors will take to the skies, to the Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue, providing a glimpse into the world of native wildlife rehabilitation, the festival promises an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts.

Carolyn Snider, Administrative Support, Conservation Programs, shared her excitement for the upcoming event, "The 2nd Annual Kawartha Fall Festival is all about connecting people with the wonders of nature and providing a day of enjoyment for the entire community," she said. "With activities like the Live Entertainment, Petting Zoo, Reptilia Zoo, and Zoo to You, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for our natural world."

One of the exciting additions to this year's festival is introducing a vibrant vendors market and an array of delectable food trucks. "The new vendors market and food trucks will add an extra layer of excitement to the festival, providing a diverse range of products and culinary delights for attendees to enjoy," said Melissa Creasy Alexander, Conservation Areas Technician.
