I had the "gone fishin'" sign on for the last couple of weeks, but I made it back to see the bewildered looks on the kids faces, as they head back for another school year.
The congregation of Epsom/Utica Church and Rev. Tim Dayfoot, welcome you to church each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. We wish Doris Armstrong a speedy recovery from a tumble she took recently, hope to see you out and about real soon.
Congratulations to Carl and Christa Evans on the safe arrival of their baby daughter Willa, a couple of weeks ago. Best wishes to Luke and Erin Mast, who were married a couple of Saturdays back, at the family farm on Medd Road. Many years of happiness are wished for you.
Epsom/Utica U.C.W. will meet at the Epsom Church on Tuesday September 12th at 1 p.m. for dessert and fellowship. The Sunday School will begin on Sunday September 17th, as all children are invited to come. It was an exciting scene at the Ashton farm on Monday evening, as the dairy 4H club brought their calves, and learned more about showing and presenting them in the ring. A huge "thank you" to the leaders for the many hours they give to the club, as this has not been an easy year for the farmers.
I know our Epsom School is closed this school year, but many of our kids will be catching their buses from the school parking lot. Please be extra careful crossing the roads, as it seems that a lot of drivers just don't care about the speed limit on Reach St. With the school no longer functioning, I doubt we will see much police speed control in front of the school, so everyone crossing the street needs to be fully aware of the traffic situation. Good luck to the kids with their new school year.
