I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving weekend and digging watching the Leafs score a pile of goals early in their season.
It was a beautiful afternoon to congratulate Milton and Elaine on their 50th wedding anniversary last week. Their son Gene emceed the afternoon's celebration. The Barbershop group that Milt led and sang and harmonized their way into everyones hearts. Their son Mark wowed those in attendance with his amazing voice, singing "On the street where you live", "My Prayer", and the incredible "Backward Song". Milt, Elaine and Family, we wish you years of love, happiness and music.
Everyone is welcome each Sunday to Epsom Church at 11:00 am. The following is from the W.I. of Ontario: the Women's Institutes Of Ontario Celebrates 120 Years. Bethesda-Reach Women's Institute has had a firm belief in the value of community. This year the Women's Institutes in Ontario, are marking the 120th anniversary of their founding in Stoney Creek, and service in rural Ontario. To mark the event and Canada's 150th birthday, the local group is trying to reach into the rural communities in Uxbridge, Epsom, and Port Perry area and get to know our neighbours. To that end the local Bethesda-Reach Women's Institute branch has arranged a special afternoon tea at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre on Marietta St. on October 14th from 2 to 4 p.m. Rosemary Oliver, a talented fibre artist will show some of her beautiful work and the refreshments will be special. We welcome our neighbours, friends, those who have helped us in many ways and anyone interested in beautiful things. If you would like to come, please call 905-852-3925.
Send me your Epsom and Utica news to firstname.lastname@example.org and have a safe week.
