The Uxbridge Youth Centre is holding a writing contest next week for youth of the community ages 11 and up with a $25 gift certificate from Blue Heron Books as a prize! Through the online Pick A Prompt writing activity, you will roll a die to determine what you will be writing about. Once you have your elements of a story, you will decide to write either a one or two-page short story or poem. After writing your story or poem, send your entry in a Microsoft Word document to info@uxbridgeyouthcentre.com. The contest opens on August 11th when the new Outer Space themed Pick A Prompt activity is posted to uxbridgeyouthcentre.com and runs until August 18th.
