KAWARTHA: The Lindsay Muskies got a hat trick from Bradon Leeking, on their way to an 8-2 victory, in Mississauga Saturday night.
The Chargers got on the board first, when Brandon Yeamans scored at 8:11, from Kyle Lewis and Paul Violo. The Fish would even things up though, when Leeking scored his first of the night at 17:15, from Erich Roeder.
Leeking’s second of the game, just 53 seconds into the middle frame, gave Lindsay their first lead of the game. That goal was assisted by Roeder and Owen Barnett. At 4:27, the Chargers tied the game again, on a goal by Lewis, from Yeamans and Alex Daigle. From that point on it was all Muskies. Owen Barnett’s 4th goal of the season, and second in as many nights, came on a power play, to put Lindsay up 3-2. At 15:58, Leeking completed his hat trick, from Noah Dollo and Roeder. Cam Robinson scored, from Stefan Palatsidis and Curtis Trolley, at 18:33, then it was Trolley picking up his 1st OJHL goal, at 19:52, from Brandon Carr-Ansah and Palatsidis, on the power play.
The Muskies would add two more in the third. Carr-Ansah netted his 4th of the season, on a power play from Trolley, at 4:48, then at 10:22, Roeder grabbed his 10th of the year, from Leeking and Dollo. There were a number of fighting majors and misconducts handed out, in the last minute of the game, to each team, but no word yet on any possible suspensions.
The next game for Lindsay is Thursday night in Newmarket.
