CRAIG SCHROTER
Special to The Standard Two quick third period goals sealed the Muskies fate Friday night, as they fell to the Pickering Panthers by a score of 3-2. Brock Traill’s 11th of the season got the Muskies on the board, at 3:20, of the first period. The goal was unassisted. In the second period, Jake Dale’s 1st of the year from Traill and Mike Cimini at 5:22, gave the Fish a 2-0 bulge, but Pickering answered back quickly, just 21 seconds later, when Riley Girard scored from Jacob Roach and Massimo Petricca, to make it 2-1. Two goals, just 15 seconds apart in the third, gave Pickering a lead they would not relinquish. Mitchell Gustavsen scored at 7:02, from Roach and Anthony Azzano, then Josh Argier scored the game winning goal, from Adam Wheaton and Davis Teigen-Katsumi at 7:17. The next game for the Muskies is Sunday afternoon in Wellington. We reserve the right to remove any and all comments for any reason. Comments with swearing will be deleted without exception.
