SCUGOG: Multiple teams are expected to face off in Port Perry, on Lake Scugog in early February, for the annual Lake Scugog Pond Hockey Charity Tournament.
The tournament will be held on Saturday Feb. 3rd. Teams, consisting of a minimum of 3 players or a maximum of six players, will battle it out, on one of the eight rinks created by John Mackey, on the frozen lake. Sign in, the day of, will begin at Port Perry Marina, 215 Water St., at 7:30 a.m., and games will begin at 8:30 a.m.
To register a team, the fee is $360. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games, and each game is 30 minutes long. The registration deadline is Friday, Jan. 26th.
This year, the tournament will benefit Precious Minds and the Ontario Volunteer Emergency Response Team (OVERT).
